Happy Birthday to Lauryn Hill
Lauryn Hill, born Lauryn Noelle Hill, on May 25, 1975 in East Orange, New Jersey loved music from the beginning thanks to her parents’ love of music. Lauryn’s first big break was in high school when she was a part of The Refugee Camp, better know as the Fugees.
The Fugees included then boyfriend, Wyclef Jean and Pras Michael. Lauryn caught the world’s attention with her voice in, Killing Me Softly With His Song. Wyclef and Lauryn dated until 1993 and in 1996 Lauryn started dating Rohan Marley, son of Bob Marley. Lauryn and Rohan started a family immediately.
Around the same time, Lauryn had started her acting career and appeared on the soap opera, As The World Turns. She also appeared in the movies, Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit, The Matrix Reloaded, The Matrix Revolutions, Charlie’s Angels and more.
To this day, Lauryn still performs. She performed at the Coachella Valley Music Festival in the spring of 2011 and The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on May 13.
